French bridge is in mourning, and so is the entire world of bridge.

This immense champion was appreciated and respected by his peers. A talented player, a pillar of strength, a rock for his teammates. Every person that had the chance to know him will tell you about his bright mind and his irresistible sense of humor. He was an endearing man who will leave his mark in the history of bridge.
Jean-Christophe fought with dignity against a terrible illness that took his life in the middle of summer.
