Message from the WBF President
My friends
As you may know, I am heavily committed to the promotion
and development of Women’s Bridge, and to the involvement
of women in our sport at all levels: as players, administrators,
committee chairmen, teachers, directors – the list is
long.
The International Olympic Committee and the General Association
of International Sports Federations have made it very clear
that it recognises the importance and value of the role of
women at all levels. Thus it is important that, as a Recognised
International Sports Federation, the WBF should follow its
lead in this respect.
The pages developed here for our website are an important
part of our own recognition of the value of women’s
bridge and of the position of women within our own administration.
Our indefatigable Chairman, Anna Maria Torlontano, is the
guiding force behind this development and will, I am sure,
continue to expand and increase the information here to make
it a truly fascinating record of women’s bridge.
