Lynn DEAS
Lynn DEAS (b. 1953) of Newport News VA, USA, is one of the leading women players in the world.
A professional bridge player and teacher, she served as Conduct and Ethics chairman of ACBL Unit 115.
Three-time winner of Venice Cup 1987, 1989, 1991; 3rd 1997; 5th 1993. Also won Women's Team Olympiad 1996. Placed 2nd World Women's Pairs 1982, 3rd 1994; 4th World Women's Pairs and World Mixed Pairs 1990. Placed 3rd in Pan American Women's Teams Championship 1992. Won China Cup Teams 1995, 1996, Pairs 1995.
Deas, suffering from a debilitating disease that severely restricts her movement and forces her to play from a wheelchair, has continued her winning ways despite her illness. ACBL Grand Life Master. she won Master Mixed Teams 1982, Life Master Women's Pairs 1983, 1985, 1994; BAM Teams 1992, 1995. She was 2nd Master Mixed Teams 1984, 1990; Women's KO Teams 1986, 1992, 1994, 1997; Life Master Women's Pairs 1980, Women's BAM Teams 1991, Women's Swiss Teams 1994. |
