China Hong Kong lead with an impressive 116 VPs out of a possible 125 and are the only undefeated team after two day’s of play. On Wednesday they defeated Chile by 25-0 and Egypt 19-11. Egypt beat highly-rated Italy 16-14 but the Italians recovered with 25-4 against Chinese Taipei to move into second place. Denmark had a perfect day to go third, scoring 25 against each of Thailand and Uruguay. USA2 drop to fourth after losing 10-20 to France and the French lie fifth, following that result up with a maximum against Canada on vugraph. There was one other maximum win on the day, England defeating Uruguay 25-4 in Round 4. The South Americans are a little way adrift at the foot of the rankings and we all look forward to a change in their fortunes and a first win.
