The 3rd World Junior Bridge Pairs Championships was concluded in Nymburk, Czech Republic.

It has attracted a record number of participants with 186 pairs representing 30 countries from every corner of the globe.

The competitors played 4 sessions of approximately 28 boards each. Scoring was matchpointed across the field using the Barometer method. This allowed the players to see their exact position at the end of each round.

The implementation of this system involved the predealing of 7,000 boards!

In a magnificent Closing Ceremony, the President of WBF, José Damiani, the President of EBL, Gianarrigo Rona and the chairman of WBF Youth Committee, Panos Gerontopoulos presented the medals to the winners.
